Written after my first visit to Lahore in 2008 - a song that still means so much to me after my tenth visit! Thanks to all my friends there.

Turn on the page the new day comes unwritten:
A holy book we're born to find and write,
And carve a brave tale – for the message and
the meaning fire in each gaze of this night

This mad-dash street
Where every soul is a light of God
Is a million cries of ragbag stars & saints
A heart beat in time – a tapestry of survival;
With a stitch of life in every passing face.

Lahore Moon: the only uncrowded place in sight
Look down on us as Allah’s kindly eye
And peer into the atoms with delight
Lahore Moon: alone above the struggles of the
